1. Visit the town and archaeological site of Pisac

  • In Pisac there are many things to do: stroll through its cozy streets, visit the historic town market, visit the archaeological site or simply be enchanted by its beautiful scenery.
  • The handicraft market of Pisac is the most famous of its kind in all of Cusco. There you can buy ceramics, fine alpaca clothing, silver and gold articles and all kinds of souvenirs.
  • It is believed that since the time of the Incas, the place was already an important commercial center. With the arrival of the Spaniards, this tradition was maintained and continues to this day. On Sundays is when the market grows to occupy the entire square.

3. Visit the town and archaeological site of Ollantaytambo

  • Ollantaytambo was an important administrative center and residence of the Inca nobility during the Tahuantinsuyo (Inca Empire).
  • The current inhabitants of the place have preserved the urban structure of Ollantaytambo, so it is still possible to appreciate its streets and stone walls throughout the town.
  • The most important tourist attraction is its fortress located on a hill, at the top of the town. It houses a series of stone constructions such as the Temple of the Sun, the Enclosure of the 10 niches, the Baths of the ñusta and more.
