The Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu ticket is the only ticket that allows the ascent to the famous Huayna Picchu mountain. What is the most important change in Huayna Picchu for 2024?

  • After the changes of June 1, 2024, three new circuits were created, which have different routes.

These are the entry hours:

  • Group 1 enters Huayna Picchu until 8:00 am. The entrance to Machu Picchu is from 6:00 in the morning. You can stay a maximum of 6 hours from the time of entry.
  • Group 2 enters Huayna Picchu at 11:00 am. The entrance to Machu Picchu is from 9:00 am. The maximum stay is 6 hours from the time of entry.
  • The entrance schedule is the same during regular and high season.
  • During the high season (June 1st to October 15th) availability increases. Even so, it is recommended to make your reservation in advance.
  • An increase in availability will be applied during December 30 and 31.

The entrance to Huayna Picchu also includes access to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. There the route continues through the destinations of the Lower Temple Circuit which includes visits to: the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Sun, the House of the Inka, the Water Mirrors and more. It is not allowed to retrace your steps or re-enter Machu Picchu.
