Why is there low availability of tickets to Machu Picchu?
If you haven’t heard of Machu Picchu before, then it has been hidden under a rock since 1911. Machu Picchu tops most travel bucket lists and was chosen in 2007 as one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. This makes in some cases and in certain seasons, getting a ticket to Machu Picchu very difficult and even disappointing. Especially in the months of May, June, July and August, considered high tourist season. The low availability of tickets is due to the prevention of the exaggerated traffic of people that can cause the collapse of the Inca city. In spite of the discomfort due to the few entrances, this guarantees that Machu Picchu can continue to exist in the future.
