If you plan to visit Machu Picchu you should know that the Inca City offers 4 types of tickets, with 4 different types of experiences.
In total there are 4 different types of tickets:
- Ticket Machu Picchu Only.
- Ticket Huayna Picchu.
- Ticket Machu Picchu Mountain.
- Ticket Machu Picchu Museum.
What to see with the ticket Machu Picchu Only?
- This type of entry allows you to tour the Inca City of Machu Picchu.
- The Inca City includes all the archaeological site where the visitor can also make the walks to the Sun Gate ( Intipunku ) or the Inca Bridge.
This ticket has 9 entry times:
- Group 1 – entry from 6 a.m.
- Group 2 – entry from 7 a.m.
- Group 3 – entry from 8 a.m.
- Group 4 – entry from 9 a.m.
- Group 5 – entry from 10 a.m.
- Group 6 – entry from 11 a.m.
- Group 7 – entry from 12 p.m.
- Group 8 – entry from 1 p.m.
- Group 9 – entry from 2 p.m.
The ticket can be reserved a few days before but by the organization, we recommend booking it 4 weeks in advance.
What to see with the ticket Huayna Picchu?
- This type of ticket includes all the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. In addition, it allows to enter the famous Huayna Picchu mountain.
- The entrance to Huayna Picchu includes a visit to the mysterious Temple of the Moon.
This ticket has 3 entry shifts:
- Group 1 – Machu Picchu entrance from 6 am / entrance Huayna Picchu from 7 am to 8 am
- Group 2 – Machu Picchu entrance from 7 am / entrance Huayna Picchu from 7 am to 8 am
- Group 3 – Machu Picchu entrance from 8 am / entrance Huayna Picchu from 10.30 am to 11.30 am
The ticket must be reserved 3 months in advance.
What to see with the ticket Mountain Machu Picchu?
- With this ticket, tourists can tour the entire archaeological site of Machu Picchu. In addition, the ticket includes the entrance to the recent Machu Picchu mountain.

This ticket has 3 income groups:
- Group 1 – entry to Machu Picchu from 6 am / admission to the Mountain from 7 am to 8 am
- Group 2 – entry to Machu Picchu from 7 am / admission to the Mountain from 7 am to 8 am
- Group 3 – entry to Machu Picchu from 8 am / admission to the Mountain from 9 am to 10 am

What to see with the ticket Machu Picchu Museum?
- This entrance allows you to visit Machu Picchu and all its archaeological remains. It also includes the entrance to the Machu Picchu Site Museum ‘Manuel Chávez Ballón’.
- The Machu Picchu Site Museum is at the foot of the archaeological site, in the town of Aguas Calientes.
This ticket has 9 hours of entry to Machu Picchu:
- From 6 am / 7 am / 8 am / 9 am / 10 am / 11 am / 12 pm / 1 pm / 2 pm (the same as the ticket ‘Machu Picchu Only’).
The visit to the Museum can be done at the following times:
- Every day from 8 am to 4 pm
